Church choir
LAUDATE was founded in 1986 as a men's choir that previously had performed hymns in various services. Leader of the choir is conductor
Wolfgang Brock. Today, there are 28 active and 5 passive participants in the choir. The youngest singer is 16 years old, the oldest - 79 years old. Average age of participants is 50.
There are mainly sacred songs in the repertoire of the choir, but
LAUDATE also performs secular songs - folk songs, ballads and several modern compositions (in English and Latvian).
During the 15 years of choir's existence, it has established many creative contacts in its homeland, as well as abroad.
LAUDATE has performed together with friend choirs in Villih and Finnish town Turku. The choir also has friends in Smiltene, Latvia. Together with the choir
LIDO, they have recorded a compact disc and performed together in concerts.
